Ingredients
800 g minced meat
1-2 onions, finely chopped
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
salt
black pepper
1 bag / 400 g macaroni
5 dl milk
3 eggs
150 g grated cheese (e.g. Västerbotten, Oltermanni, mozzarella)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200 °C. Boil macaroni for 7 minutes and drain.
2. Meanwhile, fry minced meat, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and black pepper.
3. Prepare egg wash by mixing 5 dl milk and 3 eggs.
4. Mix the pre-boiled macaroni, minced meat and onion mixture, and egg wash. Check the taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish (e.g., 1/2 65 mm GN pan) and top with grated cheese. Bake in the middle of the oven at 200 °C for about 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is beautifully browned.
6. Let the macaroni casserole cool for at least 20 minutes. Drown in ketchup and enjoy!
